What the GFW Memorial Fund is About
(Waterville, NY) – The Gerald F. Wolfe Memorial Fund was started in honor of Gerald Wolfe by his family and the North Brookfield Fire Department. Gerald, an active community member, volunteer fireman, husband, and father, was tragically killed in a car accident on his way home from work on November 26, 2007 on the Bronx River Parkway in southern New York. He was only 48 and his unnecessary death has spurred the County of Westchester to finally install guard rails so that others may live. Jerry loved every minute of life and serves as a daily inspiration to all.
An annual scholarship is given in his name to two deserving graduating students of Waterville and Brookfield High Schools.
